We founded Ayla Wellness so that we may offer integrative medicine and mindfulness practices in one healing space.

Jubran Dakwar, MD

I am an Internal Medicine board-certified Critical Care physician practicing in Ventura County.

Over the last ten years working with critically ill hospitalized patients,  I have witnessed the ravages of disease and the challenges faced by medicine physicians in providing meaningful and enduring treatments. My primary role in the hospital has been to stabilize patients experiencing a health crisis, to help them return from the brink through advanced medical therapies and procedures. At home many of these patients return to the habits which contributed to their severe illness and return to the hospital as “frequent fliers”, again and again.

This experience developed in me a greater appreciation for the active role each of us must take in our well-being. Body, mind and spirit possess powerful healing potential which must work in harmony when fighting illness or changing habits. There is no magic pill or easy answer. A healthy life demands sustained attention and focus.

Rebecca Schol

I started my mindfulness journey in 2007 with the practice of Bikram Yoga, wanting to heal the body and mind from collegiate sports, clinical depression, and anxiety. I was then introduced by a fellow practitioner to Vipassana, a form of meditation, from there my world opened up to other mindfulness practices- Ashtanga, Kundalini, and Reiki to name a few.

I understand what it is like to have crippling anxiety, I understand not wanting to leave the house. I understand how to move past anxiety and depression by using integrative medicine practices.

My offerings are designed to help bring balance back to the body, mind and spirit, helping you move past life’s traumas.

I am certified in Hatha Yoga(2009) and Energy Healing (2009).
